– light, installation, arduino, Palmengarten
The subject of the lighting installation Splektrum is the relationship between natural and cultural phenomena which are presented interactively. Glow-wires are vertically stretched between ceiling and floor. Untouched, the glow-wires show themselves in the dark through a light gleam. When strummed, the wires lighten up and a sound emerges. After that the light fades out to its basic state and the sound expires.
The spectrum of the selected sounds is a mixture of natural and cultural sounds, which are assigned to the individual wires.
Build with an Arduino board, Processing and electroluminiscent wires.
